Understanding TDS & salinity
A useful starting point, within a wider analysis.
TDS refers to total dissolved solids. It helps describe the dissolved content of water, but does not identify every constituent or establish suitability for a particular use.
Report the measured value and its unit, along with the laboratory analysis. Engineering selection also considers the water demand and final use.
